The ZoneBilling AI Assistant is a ‘chatbot’ designed to assist users with questions about ZoneBilling. It uses conversational artificial intelligence (GenAI) to understand user queries and provide helpful responses, without the user leaving the ZoneBilling screen.
Previously, the AI Assistant could only be accessed from record pages; with this enhancement, the AI Assistant is now available on Suitelet pages as well.

In a prior release, the ‘Managed Display’ feature was introduced, allowing administrators to configure the visibility of fields on Master Contract, ZAB Subscription, and ZAB Subscription Item records.
With this enhancement, Managed Display functionality has been extended to the ZAB Rate Plan Search Map record. Fields on this record can now be hidden, shown, required, or disabled according to conditional logic.

Previously, when a Subscription Item leveraged Included Units and a resulting Transaction underwent the Credit/Rebill Process, the generated Credit Offset Charges did not display the offsetting ‘Included Units Deducted’. This fix ensures that the ‘return’ of included units are captured in this field, so that any searches looking at that field accurately depict the remaining units.
This did not prevent Charges from calculating and consuming included units correctly, as the ‘Included Units Deducted’ field is not used in the calculation of Charges. This change does not impact any Rating logic.

Product Maintenance & Fixes (5)

Resolves an issue, introduced in 2024.09.19.1, when leveraging Consolidated Billing and clicking the ‘Multiple’ link on the Create Transactions Suitelet. In some high volume scenarios, the search to preview Subscriptions included in the consolidation would time out. This fix optimizes the search to run more efficiently; this change does not impact any logic in the Create Transactions process.

This fix ensures the ZAB API aligns with NetSuite recommendations to define a Content-Type header. As a result, the Content-Type: application/json header will now be included in every ZAB API response, ensuring that all functionality remains intact. No functional changes have been made with this update.

Resolves an issue, introduced in 2024.09.19.1, when viewing the Create Transaction Suitelet and using the ‘Customer’ filter. In some scenarios, the search results displayed the incorrect amounts on the suitelet.
This issue applied to the search results displayed on the suitelet only; this change did not impact any logic in the Create Transactions process.

Resolves an issue occurring when a Billing Profile included an Aggregation/Summary on the Quantity field. Previously, the resulting Transaction correctly displayed the aggregated/summarized Quantity and calculated the Amount appropriately, but the Rate was not correctly displayed. This fix ensures that the Rate is derived from the final Amount and Quantity calculations.

Resolves an issue when using Prepaid Subscription or Prepaid Quantity Rate Types that did not expire. Previously, when the Included Units was updated after some Unit Adjustment Charges were billed, the unbilled unit adjustment charges were not updated to reflect the updated included units. This change ensures that previously billed Unit Adjustment Charges remain unchanged, while pending Unit Adjustment Charges reflect the updated value.
