Default Forms
The ZAB Preference Default Form allows you to select a default form for your designated Transaction Type (Sales Order, Invoice, Cash Sale). The Transaction Type associated with the Form must match the Transaction Type selected under the Create Record Type field.
For example, if a Sales Order is the designated Create Record Type, the Default Sales Order Form must be used. All other forms are inapplicable.
- Form options can be reviewed under Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms
- In most cases, businesses will customize their default forms to fit their operational needs. This helps streamline the look and feel of forms and capture all necessary information
- The selected Default Form can be overwritten through the use of a Billing Profile for some or all Subscriptions.

This example highlights that the transaction form selected under ZAB Preferences is sourced from the Custom Transaction Form list.
Enable Custom Ship To Addresses On Charges
This option will enable Custom Ship To Address values to be recorded onto Charge records and pushed forward to the Custom Ship To Address fields on a Transaction. This functionality does not require the address entry to be stored in the Address Book for the Customer.
NOTE: This feature must be enabled if you’re leveraging Custom Ship To Fields on Charge Records.
BLS Registration Key
This field offers a native integration to the Bureau of Labor Statistics to enable syncing to various data series (such as Consumer Price Index). Input a U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Public Data API Registration Key. This is required to fetch data for ZAB BLS Series and ZAB BLS Result objects. Archive Consolidated Charge File
When using Charge Consolidation, the consolidation files created are purged after 90 days by default. If necessary, the ZAB Administrator can enter an alternative number in this field.
Enable Managed Display Checkbox
Enabling the 'Managed Display' module allows for dynamic field validation and display throughout NetSuite via Display Configuration records. See Managed Display for more details.
- All accounts where ZoneBilling is installed on or after version 2023.01.19.1 will have the Managed Display feature enabled by default.
- Existing accounts with ZoneBilling installed (prior to the 2023.01.19.1 version) have Managed Display disabled by default.
- Subsequent ZoneBilling updates will respect the Managed Display preference set prior to the update.
- Due to its potential impact when hiding fields, always enable and test Managed Display in Sandbox before enabling in Production.
Subscription Detail Search
The Subscription Detail Search field dictates what search is displayed when the (multiple…) link is clicked from the Create Transactions (Subscription Selection) page. This field allows you to customize the search details presented at the time of Transaction creation for Charges (sourced from multiple Subscriptions) that are grouped together by a Billing Profile.
- The ZAB Subscription Details search is an out-of-the-box search view. This search allows you to view all Subscriptions tied to the Charges and Billing Profile.
- This search link can be found under Transactions > Zone Advanced Billing > Create Transactions > select a Subscription that shares a Billing Profile (multiple…) > click the (multiple…) link > the search opened is the Subscription Detail Search selected under ZAB Preferences.
