Enable Line Item Shipping

Enable Line Item Shipping dictates whether the Ship To Address is set at the Transaction Header or Line Item level.

Note: In order to use this feature, first enable Multiple Shipping Routes in the account. To enable this feature, go to:

  1. Setup > Company > Enable Features
  2. Transactions > Shipping & Receiving
  3. Enable ‘Multiple Shipping Routes’

Never

The Ship To Address will always be set on the header of the billing Transaction. In situations where multiple Ship To Addresses are present during processing, the system will automatically split into multiple Transactions so only a single Ship To Address is present on each Transaction.

This option is the default value for this field but can be changed under ZAB Preferences.

 

Only When Needed

The Ship To Address will be set on the header of the Transaction except in cases where multiple Ship To Addresses are present when processing — and in those cases the system will enable Line Item shipping for that Transaction.

 

Always

Ship To Address(es) will always be placed on the line level even when all lines are the same address.

Example 1: Enable Line Item Shipping on Subscription = ‘Never’

Note: Two Sales Orders are created because the Subscription Items had separate Ship To Addresses selected, and Enable Line Item Shipping was set to Never on the Subscription.

 

 

Example 2: Enable Line Item Shipping on Subscription = ‘Only When Needed’

Note: One Sales Order is created. An additional column is displayed on the Line Items called ‘Ship To’, where the Shipping Address is listed for each Line Item.

 

 

Example 3: Enable Line Item Shipping on Subscription = ‘Only When Needed’, No Shipping Addresses Set

Ship To Address (Line Override) is removed from the Subscription Item(s)

Note: One Sales Order is created. The Line Item column ‘Ship To’ is NOT added to the Transaction. Enable Line Item Shipping was set to ‘Only When Needed’ on the Subscription, and because there were not multiple Shipping Addresses present on the Subscription Items, Line Item Shipping Information is not needed.

 

 

Example 4: Enable Line Item Shipping on Subscription = ‘Always’

Example 5: Enable Line Item Shipping on Subscription = ‘Always’, No Shipping Addresses Set

Note: One Sales Order is created. An additional column is displayed on the Line Items called ‘Ship To’. Enable Line Item Shipping was set to ‘Always’ on the Subscription, so even though multiple Shipping Addresses were NOT present on the Subscription Items, the (same) Shipping Address will be listed on each Line Item.
