Setting Preferences
The ZAB Preferences record is a central place to define global default behaviors and settings. After installing the ZAB Bundle, configuring your ZAB Preferences is a critical next step.
This record can be found under Setup > Zone Advanced Billing > ZAB Preferences. This guide covers three types of preferences: ZAB Preferences, ZAB Preferences Defaults, and Item Settings.
Before you begin
Determine if the preference in mind should be a Global Setting or an Item-specific default setting
Adding Defaults to ZAB Preferences might be appropriate if there is little variance in how fields should be populated
Confirm the desired Transaction Type that Charges will convert to (Sales Order, Invoice, or Cash Sale)
Item defaults can be particularly useful if ZAB Subscriptions or ZAB Subscription Items are created via an integration, since many ZAB options (such as Rate Types, Rate Plans, Revenue Types, Plan Items, etc.) may not live in any other system and can be Item-dependent
