If a value from a different table in NetSuite should be used as the Adjustment value, create a Rate Policy Search Map. On the Rate Policy Rule, click the + sign next to “Value Provided by Search.”
First populate a Name and a Search. At minimum, the search should have columns for the final value you want to receive, as well as a Date result (to be used as the effective date of each value).
The effective date will be compared against the Bill Date of the ZAB Charge in order to know which value from this search/table to apply to that specific Charge.
Specify the Date Filter Field on the searched record, as well as the columns for Value and Effective date.
Search: Enter a saved search here to be used/available for selection on Renewal Rate Policy Rules.
Date Filter Field: Select a Date Field from the Saved Search that should be used to filter results.
Value Column in Search Results: Enter the number that represents the column in your search results which should map to the Value field for this record. For example, if the 5th column in the Search will be used to supply the (numeric) value to the “Value Provided By Search Field” enter ‘5’.
NOTE: The left-most column should be considered column number 1. You should also ignore the Internal ID column if you have your "Home/Set Preferences" set to always show Internal ID on your search results.
ZAB Rate Policy Search Map Filter: Apply a Filter to further specify Search Results by record type (Customer, Subscription, etc). Additional filters allow you to extract relevant data from generic search tables.
Example:
- Saved Search: At a minimum the Search must supply a Date and numeric value to the ZAB Rate Policy Search Map.
- ZAB Rate Policy Search Map: Specify key data points from the Saved Search that should be mapped to the Rate Policy Rule.
- Rate Policy Rule: Add the Rate Policy Search Map to the Value Provided By Search Field.
In this example the Rate will go up by a percentage value supplied by the search. - Rate Policy Rule added to the Rate Policy.
- Rate Policy added to the Subscription Item under the Adjustments tab.
- The Adjustment percentage uplift (supplied by search) is applied to the Subscription Rate.
- The Rate Adjustment decreases to 2% on 11/1 because a new value has been captured by the search.
