Example of Tier Achievement
Scenario: Rate Based on Quantity Across Multiple Subscription Items
A Client is contracted with Robotz, a toy factory. Each Robotz factory location is billed separately for the number of shipments that they deliver through a third party, our Client. Our Client charges a flat per shipment fee. Because the contract is with Robotz (the parent org), our Client offers tiered pricing based on the total shipments submitted in a given month for all locations. Each location (Child Customer) should be billed directly for the quantity (number of shipments) that they used, but the rate itself should be based on the total quantity used for ALL locations (Child Customers).
Setup
The Pricing Tiers are set up as follows:
Pricing Type |
|
Pricing Type Lower Limit | Linear Tier Rate |
0 | $7.50 |
400 | $7 |
700 | $6 |
1,000 | $5 |
1. A Subscription is set up for Robotz Toy Company, with one Subscription Item set up for each Factory Location.
2. Each Subscription Item uses the Tier Achievement Rate Plan, which uses the Pricing Type Calculation of “Individual”.
3. The Quantity Search is filtered by Subscription Item, and the Tier Achievement Search is filtered by Subscription.
