The Renewal Template determines how the contract (Subscription and Subscription Items) are handled upon renewal. Renewal Templates are assigned at the Subscription level and can be shared across Customers and Subscriptions.

• Renewal Field Value Transformation
• Renewal Transaction Profile

Key Characteristics

The Renewal Template determines the following:

• If the existing Subscription and Subscription Item(s) should be updated upon renewal or if a new Subscription and Subscription Item(s) should be created
• Which Subscription Items renew together
• The Term for the new contract
• Optional additional criteria to determine which Renewal Items renew together

Before you begin

Determine if the Renewal Template is Subscription-specific or if there is a standard Renewal Template that can be assigned via ZAB Preference Defaults

Renewal Items will not land on the same Renewal record unless they align with the ‘Attach Renewal Items to the Same Renewal’ criteria on the Renewal Template (e.g. Renewal Items share the same Start Date)
