What is a Transaction Charge Map?
A Transaction Charge Map determines which Charge Fields carry over to the resulting Transaction form. ZAB has several out-of-the-box Transaction Charge Maps, but custom mappings can be added to transfer additional values on the Charge, or related record, to the resulting Transaction.
Key Characteristics
- Many out-of-the-box Transaction Charge Maps exist within ZAB (see below for a list) and additional custom mappings can be created
- Note: Out-of-the-box Transaction Charge Maps are not shown in the list of Transaction Charge Maps when the ZAB Bundle is installed - they are hidden
- The Transaction Charge Map can reference a Charge Field Definition or provide a static value to be used on the Sales Order.
- The data type of the Charge Field should align with the data type of its destination Transaction Field; learn more below.
- The Transaction Charge Map can provide information to the Transaction Column or Transaction Body fields (or both)
