The following configurations must be in place before a ZAB Renewal can be generated:
- A Renewal Template has been assigned to the Subscription
- A Renewal Item (under the Renewal subtab) has been assigned to the Subscription Item that will renew
Once both records have been assigned, a Create Renewal Items button will populate on the Subscription and Subscription Item. Click on the Create Renewal Items button to generate ZAB Renewal Records and Renewal Items.
- Locate the Subscription and Subscription Items that you want to renew.
- Create a Renewal Template and add it to the Subscription (this can also be added as a Preferences Default).
- Select a Renewal Item for each Subscription Item that should be included in the renewal (this can also be added as a Preferences Default).
- The Item Type selected for the Renewal Item must have the Subtype 'For Sale' or 'For Resale'. You will not be allowed to select an Item Subtype 'For Purchase'.

Note: Renewal Items will only land on the same ZAB Renewal if they share the same Renewal Item Start Date.
- On the Subscription, click the Create Renewal Items button to generate a Renewal Item and ZAB Renewal.
- This process also runs automatically every 6 hours.
- The Sync Renewal Items button is used to regularly capture updates made on the Subscription Item, Renewal Item fields, and Renewal Template.
- On the Renewal Record, click the Create Estimate button to generate an Estimate and Renewal Estimate Item.
- Previous Estimates sourced from the same ZAB Renewal can be found under the Renewal Record’s Estimates subtab:
- Convert Estimate to a Renewal by clicking the 'Convert Estimate' button.

Outcome: Estimate will convert to a new Subscription and Subscription Item or update the original Subscription and Subscription Items (per the Renewal Action defined on the Renewal Template).
