Additional records, managed on the Renewal Template, can be layered on top of the core records used to generate Renewals. These additional records help solve for more complex use cases. For example, a Customer may want to exclude or combine Subscription and Subscription Items upon renewal, transform field values, and/or manipulate the presentation of Renewal Estimates.
Additional options which are managed on the ZAB Renewal Template:
-
Attach Items to the same Subscription When
- This field determines when Renewal Items are combined onto a single Renewal record (keep in mind that Start Dates influence what Renewal Items land on the same ZAB Renewal)
-
Renewal Combination Option Fields
- Combination Options allow you to further specify what Renewal Items renew together. A Customer may leverage Combination Fields to place Renewal Items on different ZAB Renewals. For example, Items can be grouped or separated onto a new Renewal Record based on a number of field criteria such as “Location” or “Class.”
-
Renewal Combination Group
- The Renewed Subscription Group feature allows you to group Renewal Estimate Items by shared fields (class, locations, ‘Created from Subscription’, etc.). This grouping determines the output of newly created or updated Subscriptions and Subscription Items.
-
Renewal Transaction Profile
- The Renewal Transaction Profile allows you to set various options for Consolidation of Renewals, plus the Separation and/or Combination of Renewal Items when creating Renewal Transactions.
-
Renewal Field Value Transformation
- Allows you to update predetermined values on select fields when Subscription/Subscription Items are renewed.
ZAB Renewal Field Map
The ZAB Renewal Field Map does not have a parent record. This record allows you to map values on the Renewal Estimate and Renewal Estimate Item to select fields on the converting Subscription and Subscription Item.
- For example, this mapping allows a custom field to source its value from another field found on the Renewal Estimate and Renewal Estimate Item (e.g. Start Date). Upon renewal the custom field will populate the source value (e.g. Start Date value).
Unlike most renewal related records, the Renewal Field Map is not customer specific. This configuration will influence all converting Renewal Estimates. This mapping is leveraged when the field value should reference or capture data in multiple places on the new or updated Subscription and Subscription item
