What is a Rate Plan Search Map?

A Rate Plan Search Map is used on the Rate Plan to tell the system which Saved Search will be providing the Usage Data, how to align that data to Charge Periods, and how to filter the Saved Search results to map the Usage data to a specific Subscription Item.

Key Characteristics

• A Rate Plan Search Map is required on the Rate Plan
• Any Saved Search in NetSuite may be used to supply data to the Rate Plan Search Map
• The Rate Plan Search Map must, at a minimum, tell the system:
  • Which Saved Search to use
  • Whether it can be used for Quantity Search (default) or Tier Achievement Search
  • In which Search column to find key Date and Quantity fields
  • Based on the Search Map Type selected, the Rate Plan Search Map will determine whether usage is Consumption or Count based
• A Rate Plan Search Map can be shared across Subscriptions and Customers and Rate Plans
