New Feature: Generate Charge Consolidation Backup File
- This enhancement to the ‘Charge Consolidation’ feature provides the ability to transform the Charge Consolidation JSON file to a CSV file during the Create Transactions process. Administrators can define where the backup file should be stored, for which Rate Plans a backup file should be generated, and what data should be included in the file.
To enable the creation of a CSV Backup File:
- Navigate to the ‘Transaction Backup File Location’ field on the ZAB Preferences record. Input the Internal ID of a File Cabinet folder where backup files should be stored.
- Charge Consolidation must be enabled on the Rate Plan Search Map. Charge Consolidation may only be used with Usage or Count Data; Ad Hoc Usage is not currently supported.
- On the Rate Plan Search Map, select the ‘Generate Backup File’ checkbox.
- All data from the Charge Consolidation JSON file is included in the CSV. To include custom columns in addition to the out-of-the-box mappings, use the ‘Charge Consolidation Aggregation’ tab of the Rate Plan Search Map.
- Optionally choose to display the ‘ZAB Backup File’ field on the Transaction form to display the generated file on the Transaction record.
A new field on the Charge, ‘Generate Backup File', is set during Rating to indicate if a backup file should be generated. During Create Transactions, a backup file is created and attached to the resulting Transaction. If multiple Charges on the same Transaction should have backup files generated, a single CSV file will be created, consolidating the JSON files.
